The Pursuit of Happiness: Part II
In 2009, New Year’s Resolution: The Pursuit of Happyness I wrote “I know what brings Happiness and I want to share that Happiness with you.” That time I knew but I didn’t want to share because I wanted to believe in it.
Millions of people living in Bangladesh would be much happier if they could have my life -- This statement may raise arguments but I want to emphasize more on ‘Do I even realize how good life I have?‘ It does not matter how good life I have, I always want more! I believe, I’m not alone.
Take a look at people around you. They are running. They are under some influence. Some of them are trying to hypnotize(!) you. Worst part is: You want what others want. It’s the American Dream: “citizens of every rank feel that they can achieve a better, richer, and happier life” -- James Truslow Adams, 1931,
If not happiness, what should be goal of mankind?
Happiness and Sorrow both are great tutors. Mostly, it’s Sorrow which teaches you. When you run after happiness and you fail, you have sorrow. Some of you give up, some of you learn from your mistakes.
I’m in pursuit of knowledge. I don’t find it in books but in people around me.
Note: If you can’t read me, don’t bother. I bullshit a lot these days.

Insightful you think and excellent you write… I could not but follow the links to your older posts related to this.
Whatever we are in pursuit of.. we are in pursuit of happiness… my be our paths are different, may be our goals have difference in their names…. but we are after happiness.
Loved it!
Good article…..i read lots of bullshit everyday like “10 ways to make..” “10 most….” and crap like that. Your post was kind of peace in my mind. I can remember a course i took at university called “Art n Ascetics” that was an optional course but things that i learned from there were remarkable. One thing i learned and try to believe in myself that “happiness arise out of absolute secession of desire” – unfortunately i cant apply this theory in my personal life all the time. I noticed what actually makes me happy is…don’t expect people to do their duty or play their responsibility but you keep doing your duty and be honest, help others and stay calm…love kids etc….most importantly do what you LOVE to do and don’t think of others while you’r on your own trusted action…..
and yes you are right….seeking knowledge is one of the thing that will always make your happy. will always make u pursuit it until you find the things you are looking for….
Ok, sorry..too long comment. Keep it up Saumen

Definitely, we want happiness at all cost. The question is, physical or spiritual?
@Junal, loved your long feedback.. he hee
physical happiness and spiritual happiness: i think they are complementary ( term taken from boolean algebra)
